Social and Sports Groups with OTS
Given the current economic outlook here in the UK, it’s not surprising that ones thoughts, be they corporate or individual, tend to centre around what’s known as “All Inclusives” In other words, packages which provide for transport, transfers, accommodation, meals, refreshments, drinks (open bars plus some which are not quite so open!)...and all generally based on two people sharing a room or suite.
Here are some pointers to assist your thought processes:
Sandals and Beach Resorts (Caribbean) offer a complimentary room for every ten rooms booked up to a maximum of seven such rooms for stays between late August and early December each year. Further incentives cover room upgrades, conference and hospitality facilities, complimentary cocktail reception with open bar for an hour plus a private dinner.
AM Resorts (North America) a fast growing luxury leisure resort company which recognises a group booking as ten rooms or more and will offer free nights, upgrades, added value and dedicated check-in and out.
Almond Resorts in Barbados and St Lucia defines a group as minimum 20 people (adults) or 10 rooms and offers discounts of up to 30% coupled with room upgrades. The 21st room is complimentary and so is the 11th flight. Conference facilities are free as is a private welcome reception and check-in plus one private dinner.
Barcelo Hotels & Resorts (Latin America and the Caribbean) provides a free place for every 25 paying guests or one free room for every 25 fully paid rooms. A good example is the Barcelo Bavaro Beach Resort in the Dominican Republic which offers family rooms sleeping 6 and golf is included in the all inclusive package.
